Overview

Colorado requires annual notification and testing in certain grades, but overall is homeschool-friendly. Parents must maintain detailed records and provide instruction in core subjects.

Requirements

  • File annual notice of intent by August 1st
  • Maintain detailed attendance records (172 days minimum)
  • Provide instruction in core subjects (English, math, science, social studies, health, physical education, music, art)
  • Annual testing in grades 3, 5, 7, 9, 11
  • Maintain immunization records
